Google Analytics Question??

One of my company's client has redirected her old domain to a new one but she wants her old analytics account must be used to track the visitors of the new domain. It was a new experience for our team. We (my senior & I) had a discussion on this issue and figured out that its possible but not quite sure of the out come.
